Slogans

The slogans composed, written, and shouted in this uprising have political significance since they directly address what the demands and aspiration of the protesters for a future of Iran. They are an art form found in abundance and sometimes in most creative and artistic ways. However, we found that because slogans are conceptually, culturally, and semantically specific to the original languages in which they are created, they lose their meaning or weight or both after translation into English. Hence, we have included only a small sample of the slogans in this website.
